These are the links to the ctrl.ghost plugins used to access the Importons and Irradiance Particles technologies in 3ds Max/Design 2009 and newer. http://www.mastering-mentalray.com/mental_ray/ctrl_ghost_settings_3dsMax2009.zip http://www.mastering-mentalray.com/mental_ray/ctrl_ghost_settings_3dsMax2010.zip The 3ds Max/Design 2011 Ctrl Ghost plugin shipped with the Mastering mental ray book must be updated to this version in order to operate with the final release of 3ds Max/Design 2011: http://www.mastering-mentalray.com/mental_ray/ctrl_ghost_settings_3dsMax2011.zip Although 3ds Max/Design 2011 plugins are compatible with Max 2010 plugins, mental ray evolved during the beta process and the Ctrl.ghost plugin was updated to match mental ray 3.8 and a few new features found in the software. The 3ds Max 2011 plugins were updated April 17th, 2010. Note that in 3ds Max 2009 through 2011 you must choose mental ray as your default renderer and restart the application for 3ds Max to auto-load the plugin and for it to appear in the mental ray object list. The plugins are produced by Max Tarpini, and much thanks goes out to him for the plugins and for his technical expertise with mental ray!
